Siena FC is proud to announce that Elena Proserpio Marchetti has been named the new coach of the club’s newly formed women’s team. Elena, a former Serie A player, has a strong leadership background and has worked with Club Italia for 10 years, developing coaches across all teams. Elena will play a key role in leading the team into an exciting new era. Over the past few years, she has established herself as a dedicated and strategically-minded coach with a passionate commitment to the development of women’s football.

“Elena is a leader with a clear vision that directly reflects that of Siena FC and we are confident she is the right person to develop our women’s team and help build our women’s academy. Together with her team, she will be able to build a team that combines technique, passion and team spirit, reflecting the proud tradition of the club. Her professionalism, experience and ability to inspire make her a valuable addition to our entire club”,

Elena’s appointment is an important step in Siena FC’s long-term commitment to women’s and girls’ soccer and to building a solid foundation for future generations of players. The club’s motto is “Rebuild, Respect, Reward” and the creation of the women’s team is a natural part of the work to build a strong Siena FC over time.

says Siena FC President Jonas Bodin. The Siena FC women’s team will start in Promozione, the fifth and final level of the championship. The goal is to climb the rankings by developing the players, both individually and collectively. The team will be composed of players who aspire to this goal and will include both local talents and players from other countries who wish to combine football and university studies.

Siena FC invites players interested in playing for the Siena FC women's team to train as a group on June 14 and 15 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
